This 1979 Brazilian film is a witty remake of Snowwhite and the Seven Dwarfs. Referred to as the pornochanchada genre, the production is from the Boca do Lixo (Mouth of Garbage) neighborhood of Sao Paulo Brazil sometimes referred to as the "Brazilian Hollywood”. As the dictatorship in Brazil began laxing its rules, this genre started blending softcore elements with sharp social satire and a vulgar sense of humor. The Director, Oswaldo de Oliveira, was a veteran filmmaker who had mastered the art of exploitation featuring women in social settings like brothels and boarding schools.

The plot is a "safada" (naughty) deconstruction of the Snow White story, borrowing elements from old (Brothers Grimm) and new (1937 Walt Disney) and presenting them through a distinct Brazilian lens. The lead is White but das Neves (light-skinned mixed-race) played by the very attractive Afro-Brazilian actress Adele Fátima.

Clara’s father the King (Xandó Batista) passes and her stepmother the Queen (Meiry Vieira)is portrayed as "malvada ninfomaníaca" (wicked nymphomaniac) whose primary motivation is to be the most sexually desirable in the land. Insecurity peaks when her Magic Mirror (Renato Pedrosa) repeatedly asserts that Clara is "the most gostosa" (hottest) in the kingdom.The queen banishes Clara from the castle, but the Prince falls in love with Clara anyway. Driven by jealousy, the Queen demands that Clara be killed in the forest. The Hunter, played by the veteran comedian Costinha with his signature vulgarity and double entendres, finds himself unable to kill the princess and instead takes what is described as a "good casquinha" (a nibble or sexual favor) from the princess and allows Clara to flee deeper into the jungle.

Clara is found by the Seven Dwarfs. This is where the plot diverts from tradition. Six of the seven dwarfs sleep with Clara. The seventh dwarf, Zangado (Grumpy), is gay. A recurring theme becomes "tamanho não é documento" (size isn't everything) and serves as a raucous defense of the dwarfs' virility. When the Magic Mirror informs the Queen that Clara is not only alive but "happier", the queen is overwhelmed by jealousy and commits suicide by eating the poisonous apple she originally intended for her stepdaughter.

Adele Fátima (Clara or our Snow White), born in 1954 in Rio de Janeiro, was the daughter of a German industrialist, Carlos Hahlbohm, and a Brazilian mother, Glória de Souza Hahlbohm. She began her career as a model and dancer. Adele became a cultural phenomenon in Brazil. In 1979, Adele was cast in the James Bond film Moonraker but after shooting several scenes with Roger Moore, she was replaced by actress Emily Bolton. Adele’s fame was inextricably linked to her role as the "Sardinhas 88" girl, a now-defunct canned sardine brand.

The film was a formidable commercial success. According to historical box office data, the film sold 1.4 million tickets, making it one of the top national productions of 1979. At the time of its release, many mainstream critics dismissed it as "superficial" and "vulgar".
