Country Cuzzins is a Beverly Hillbillies Granny and Jethro Clampet style film. A parody sexploitation film about hillbillies and their introduction to the city. Grandma Peabody thinks she’s dying so she invites all the kin for a big party at the farm. Uppity City dweller cousin Prudence attends for her father. At first, Prudence’s nose is in the clouds but grandma Peabody gets some corn moonshine in her and she perks right up and wins the chicken-chasing contest. Prudence then invites the family to her house in the city. When the Peabody clan show up, they not only impress everyone with their down home attitudes, a whole lotta extra fun goes on. A memorably funny part is when Mr. Wimpy, an older man and show business agent, promises Billi-Jo a singing career but has to give her a naughty test which gives him a heart attack.
The film quality is above average. The ladies are gorgeous. The acting is actually quite decent. The picture of sexual freedom it paints is actually quite refreshing. Buckalew pre-planned the shots well to try to make the girls shine in their scenes.
